The Last Stop
When I saw this title, it caught my eyes because I wanted to know whose last stop and I was confused whether it was a bus station or not with a such brief title. The author was Brian Cable who was a freshmen student in the college when he wrote the observational essay. Brian described a amount of the details what the Goodbody Mortuary looked like and what was his felling when he entered the mortuary. At first, he gave us the reason why he visited the mortuary, "Death is a subject largely ignored by the living." I really liked this essay which the author boldly discussed the topic of people who usually escaped, the death. Whatever you are young or elderly, death is the problem that we have to face. There are numerous observations, researches and interviews. For example, he talked about the decoration of the Goodbody with observation, "It looks a bit like a church - tall, with gothic arches and stained glass. The author described mortuary as a church, and it can be seen that the author was awesome for death. When he introduced the origin of the name, he did the research. The Goodbody had been done for 500 years. Similarly, he interviewed the funeral director and the embalmer. Actually, this article leads us to thinking about death. Death is a massive topic like the living and death have only once, and it is a serious topic like a warm epidemic, so a few people take the initiative to mention. However, this is a topic that everyone will encounter. People's life and how to be born do not need to consider their own, but how to die but must think about themselves. Therefore, it's also an unavoidable and interesting topic. I have an ordinary creature also have my own thinking and understanding of death. I do not think so complicated, and I think that death is like a night there will be dawn is a natural process. Death is like a person to leave a place to travel and not coming back is a farewell ceremony. Death is like life is difficult to find real equality, and natural gives us an absolute fair treatment. Death is also an updated form of life. In fact, the author's purpose is to let people face death by explaining how the died people to bury.
